So, with the advent of summer and summer vacation for the child, we as a family have decided that June is going to be Low/No Tech month. Simplify. Slow down.
Recharge and renew ourselves by unplugging from most everything.
What exactly does this mean? Well, we will not be turning on for the entire month
The Computer
The TV
The Radio
That is all, but for some people that is EVERYTHING. We wish to make it not so for us. There will be copious amounts of reading, hiking, exercising, board games, crafts and hobbies.
Intrigued? Me too. I'll let you know how it goes in a month. :)
For reaching us, the telephone (house line, NO CELL) still functions and there is always snail mail.
Because of some very specific obligations, I will be monitoring email once a day from work and unless it is some kind of emergency, will not be responding.

a bold and brave move in this era of technology...i can't wait to hear how it goes (i am assuming it will be a wonderful experience as there was once
a time when the kids were young that i threw out the t.v. for a year...i found we spent much more time talking and playing games and generally just spending
more one on one time with each other)...good luck!
